Splash Guards

Custom Glass Shower Splash Guards

A shower splash guard is a fixed glass panel that keeps water inside the shower without closing it off behind a full door — the open, airy feel of a doorless shower, minus the puddle on the bathroom floor. Every splash guard we make is cut from tempered glass in our Lynbrook shop and sized to your exact curb and ceiling height, in framed or frameless styles.

Splash Guards for Walk-In Showers

Walk-in and curbless showers are the most common home for a splash guard: a single fixed panel at the showerhead end blocks direct spray while the entry stays completely open. For wider openings, a panel with a short return keeps water in without narrowing the walkway.

Shower Stall Splash Guards

For smaller shower stalls, a partial-width glass panel — sometimes just 12–24 inches wide — stops the spray that escapes at the shower-curtain gap or door edge. It’s an inexpensive fix for a persistent wet floor.

Glass Bathtub Splash Guards

On tubs, a fixed or hinged glass splash panel at the faucet end replaces the clingy shower curtain — it keeps spray in, wipes clean, and makes the whole bathroom look more open. Hinged versions fold flat against the wall for easy tub access and cleaning.

Fixed vs. Hinged Splash Guards

Fixed panels mount rigidly to the wall and curb — maximum stability, zero moving parts. Hinged splash guards pivot, which helps in tight bathrooms where a rigid panel would block access to controls or the tub edge. We’ll recommend the right style when we see your layout — estimates are free.

Splash Guard FAQs

How tall should a shower splash guard be?

Most splash guards run from the curb to about 66–78 inches high — tall enough to block shoulder-height spray. Tub-mounted panels are usually shorter. Since we custom-cut every panel, we match the height to your shower head position and ceiling.

Do splash guards work for doorless showers?

Yes — that’s their main job. A properly sized fixed panel near the spray zone keeps a doorless or walk-in shower dry outside the wet area while preserving the open entry.

Can you add a splash guard to my existing tub or shower?

In most cases, yes. Splash guards mount to the wall and curb or tub deck, so they retrofit easily. We confirm the mounting surfaces are sound when we measure.
