Neo Angle Shower Doors
What Is a Neo Angle Shower?
A neo angle shower is a corner shower with the front cut at an angle — two fixed glass panels meet a center door at 135° angles, so the enclosure tucks into a corner without jutting into the room. It’s the classic space-saving layout for smaller bathrooms, and one of our most requested custom builds at Showercrafters.
Framed vs. Frameless Neo Angle Doors
Neo angle enclosures come framed, semi-frameless or fully frameless. Framed units use aluminum channel around thinner glass and are the budget-friendly choice. Frameless neo angle shower doors use thick tempered glass with clamp-style hinges — a cleaner look with less metal to corrode or collect soap scum. Because a neo angle relies on precise angles between panels, frameless corner units reward accurate fabrication — which is why we measure and cut every unit in our own Lynbrook shop.
Common Neo Angle Sizes — Including 36 x 36
The most common neo angle base is 36″ x 36″, with 38″ and 40″ close behind. But bases get tiled over, walls sit out of plumb, and older Long Island homes rarely match catalog dimensions. Rather than shim a stock 36 x 36 neo angle door into an opening that isn’t quite 36 x 36, we fabricate the panels to your actual measurements — any size, any angle.
How We Measure a Neo Angle Shower
We measure the width of each of the three glass planes at top and bottom (openings are rarely square), the height from curb to the top of the enclosure, and check the angles where the panels meet. If you’d like to rough-measure before visiting the showroom, note the three front edges of the curb and the height — then we confirm everything in person before cutting glass. Neo Angle Shower Door FAQs
Can a neo angle shower door be frameless?
Yes. Frameless neo angle enclosures use thicker tempered glass held by clamps and hinges instead of full aluminum framing. They cost more than framed units but look cleaner and are easier to maintain.
What is the smallest neo angle shower that works?
Neo angle bases commonly go down to about 36″ x 36″. Below that, door swing and elbow room get tight — if your corner is smaller, we can look at alternate configurations like a single hinged door with a return panel.
Do you service and repair neo angle shower doors?
Yes. We service shower doors from every manufacturer, no matter the age or who installed them, and stock hard-to-find and discontinued parts. Bring your measurements or photos to the parts desk and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
